Release times and delivery methods

• Standard delivery: within 7 working days , via email in PDF format. A paper original can be sent via registered mail with return receipt.
• Urgent requests: Delivery within 3 business days via email in PDF format. If the deadline is not met, the amount paid for the urgent request will be refunded .
• International delivery: upon request, the paper document can also be sent via international courier .

The Civil Status Certificate is an official document issued by the Municipality that certifies a person's marital status, specifically stating whether they are single or married. The certificate lists the person's personal details.

Validity and requirements for the application

The Civil Status Certificate is legally valid for 6 months and can be requested in any Italian municipality , regardless of place of residence.
To submit the request you will need:

• name and surname of the interested party
• date and place of birth
• Municipality of residence

Be careful of dates not present in the archives

It may happen that the subject's information is not available in the Registry Office's archives, perhaps because the subject has moved abroad. In this case, the certificate cannot be issued .
The customer will always be informed promptly in case of any additional costs .

Who can request certificates?

Certificates can be requested by anyone with a legitimate interest .
Some Civil Registry Offices may require a proxy accompanied by a copy of the interested party's identity document.
