Release times and delivery methods

• Standard delivery: within 15 working days , via email in PDF format. A paper original can be sent via registered mail with return receipt.
• Urgent request: Delivery within 7 business days via email in PDF format. If the deadline is not met, the amount paid for the urgent request will be refunded .
• International delivery: upon request, the paper document can also be sent via international courier .

The Copy of the Birth Certificate (or Full Copy of the Birth Certificate ) is an official document issued by the Municipality of birth that faithfully and completely reports the contents of the birth certificate registered in the civil registry.

Validity and requirements for the application

A copy of the birth certificate is legally valid for 6 months .

To submit the request you will need:

• name and surname of the interested party
• date of birth
• Italian municipality where the birth was registered (usually the municipality where the parents reside)

Information contained in the certificate

• Name and surname
• Date of birth
• Place of birth
  
• Name and surname of parents
• All annotations on the deed (marriage, acknowledgments, name changes, adoptions, judicial orders, etc.)
• Any notes added over the years
  

Additional costs

For searches involving people born over a hundred years ago, the Municipality charges an additional fee to consult historical archives. It's important to know that these checks may not yield any results. In this case, the amount paid will not be refunded.

The customer will always be promptly informed of any additional costs.

Beware of dates not present in the archives

It may be that the information on the individual is not available in the Registry Office archives, perhaps because the individual was born over 100 years ago. In this case, the certificate cannot be issued .

Who can request certificates?

Certificates can be requested by anyone with a legitimate interest .
Some Civil Registry Offices may require a proxy accompanied by a copy of the interested party's identity document.

Transparency and Refunds

Our priority is your satisfaction. If the document cannot be found in the municipal archives:

• We only retain the fixed research costs (approximately € 39.00 in addition to any sums paid to the municipality ).
• We will fully refund any unused costs (courier shipping, additional services, or apostilles).
